Reigning Totalsports XTERRA Pezula champions Stuart Marais and Carla Van Huyssteen will return to Knysna on Thursday, 10 July 2014 to defend their titles at the action packed Totalsports XTERRA Pezula presented by REHIDRAT® SPORT.
“The vibe and crowd make the Totalsports XTERRA Pezula such a spectacular event,” says Carla Van Huyssteen. “It is always a great feeling to win at any of the Totalsports XTERRA races. I’ll definitely recommend this event to newcomers to the sport. Totalsports XTERRA Pezula features a great course and for the non-swimmers this is a great introduction into the sport of XTERRA”.
According to Marais, XTERRA Pezula is a unique duathlon. “I often have extremely stiff competition from the likes of Kevin Evans, who is a pro mountain biker and a true competitor. I love the setting, I love the kid’s event and I love the way the newbies hit the course with everything they have. It is very special knowing that this XTERRA is part of the Pick ‘n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival Big 5 Challenge. It creates a whole new dynamic to the race, but also the week in Knysna”.
